Oh, interrrrresting. See, my name is pronounced like "Lila," so that didn't even occur to me-- though maybe it should have, since I've suffered a lifetime of semi-confused Clapton references from people who don't know how to say my name. I see you are as Leila, as well, so you must get a lot of Clapton serenades, yourself.
Wow I thought you were a Leila (lay-luh) too! My name is Leila pronounced lay-luh, and it's a very common Persian name. I see a lot of Persian references in your texts such as Persian names, or Farsi. I am so confused as to how you are receiving these texts...I don't get it..?
Is this a semi-confused Clapton reference?

ReplyDeleteSo all this time, I thought I was reading the "lay-luh" texts and you've been writing the "lila" texts? Trippy.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile other people thought they were reading the "lee-lah" texts. Trippier still!
ReplyDeleteI kind of hate all L names that are close but not quite mine. Is that wrong? I blame our parents and their ambiguous spelling.
ReplyDeleteAt this point in my life, I answer to pretty much everything, including Liza and Lily. Our parents did NOT make it easy.
