I shared this text with my friend Kendra, who got all excited and was like, "He's gay! He must be!" Which sounds reasonable to me. What doesn't sound reasonable to me is that he alerted his daughter to his impending marriage via text message. If my dad casually texted me to let me know that he was getting married in two weeks, we'd have some issues to talk about.

I know we've had a lot of complex theories as to who Prema and her Intended Leila are, but, in this instance, I think the most parsimonious explanation is also the best: Leila is one of Prema's three children, and Prema is an incredibly over-involved mother. Done.

What did u end up doing for new years evee?

Well. I went to my friend Winnie's party, and then I went to a bar, and then I went to my friend Clare's friends' party, and then I went to my friend Lexa's party, and then I went to another bar, and then I went home. All of this took nine hours, which is a solid workday (without a lunch break!) of partying. Also every party had a crudite platter, so I ate a great deal of crudite. Thanks for asking, 951.
