Hi Leila (the real one). I hope you are busy and happy...not injured and in traction and unable to write more posts. Just so you know, I miss The Leila Texts. But good luck with whatever you're working on!

Thanks for your note, Kathy! I am doing well.

In mid-June, I suddenly stopped getting Leila Texts. I have no explanation for why, but I also have no explanation for why I suddenly STARTED getting them, back in February 2007. They ended as mysteriously as they began.

I miss the Leila Texts a lot, but I am keeping busy with other projects. My second YA novel, PAST PERFECT, came out in paperback a couple months ago, and my next novel, tentatively entitled MY SUICIDE PLAYLIST, will be published next fall. I'm sad not to get stranger text messages anymore, but I hope that someday they will come back. There's really no telling, when it comes to Leila Texts.
