"Every morn in Africa a lion wakes up, He knows he must outrun the slowest gazelle or he will be starve. It doesn't matter if you are the gazelle or the lion. When morning comes, you better be running"

Not exactly a proverb that works over text message. I am guessing the sender and the intended recipient have some understanding about this.
