Do people still use checks to pay for routine business transactions? Like, would you go to the grocery store and buy $34.66 worth of groceries and then make a check out to Stop & Shop?

Yes, charities, definitely. I definitely use checks for donations, and rent checks. And... yeah. Donations and rent checks.
